  • Actively participate/facilitate in Safe Production Meetings, shutdown meetings and crew discussions during shift to foster teamwork.   • Ensure work notifications are being entered and approved as per the MOS with the correct detail and approved within the prescribed time frame.
  • Ensure a structured maintenance system is understood, communicated to and complied with by the work team. This includes overseeing compliance to the Weekly Maintenance Plan and MOS.
  • Ensure all safety incidents and hazards are correctly handled, documented, followed up and actioned within required time frames of the AL-SWP-0001 Incident Management Procedure
  • Ensure all critical issues are highlighted and communicated to the relevant area (Shut or Production) so they can be captured in the next available maintenance plan.
  • Continually review shutdown work orders to ensure only genuine issues are captured and approved.
  • Ensure when reviewing work orders they are constantly challenged regarding time, detail, relevance, frequency, BOM accuracy etc. Any suggested changes to these should go through the appropriate system to change these e.g. Change management or Green Form
  • Ensure the relationships between the Operations, SAOC, Asset Management, Supply and relevant contracting companies are productive, seamless and constantly improved.
You will also possess the following:
  • Trade or engineering qualification in a mechanical discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in mining or heavy industry
  • Supervisory experience in a similar role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret a schedule – highly regarded
  • SAP or other CMM systems experience – highly regarded
