We are expanding to Hobart

Frontier Travel is a well-established, award winning, independently owned Virtuoso Travel Agency based in North Sydney. With a network of advisors based around Australia through our contemporary model of both employee advisors and home based contractors, we are a passionate, hard working, fun team that strives to put together creative itineraries for our clients and are known for superior customer service.

We are expanding our operations to establish a physical office in Hobart and have an opening for a sales focussed Travel Advisor to join our initial team. The role will predominantly work with leisure clients, both local and from our Head Office database, in a collaborative team environment on dynamic and tailored itineraries. Initially, the role will be based at an shared office space in the Hobart CBD, but will move to a dedicated retail space once we have established ourselves in the market.

We are only open Monday to Friday meaning you can have weekends to yourself and maintain a healthy work life balance.

Required Skills

  • A sales "go-getter"
  • Minimum 5 years travel industry experience
  • An airfares and/or cruise guru
  • GDS experience
  • Sound knowledge of booking systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks
  • Excellent telephone and customer service skills
  • Goal orientated

We use Amadeus, Tramada and Salesforce, so experience in those are an advantage, however a background in other systems is no problem if you have the ability to learn.

The role is customer facing and is not suitable for people that require remote work arrangements.
