Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Core Talent Pty Ltd Full time

Are you a hands-on, strategic Dayforce professional ready to shape and elevate HR technology in a business undergoing real transformation and growth?

My client looking for an experienced
HRIS Dayforce Manager
to take ownership of an evolving HR systems landscape and a small team within a well-known and fast-paced organisation. This is a pivotal role - it's not just about maintaining a system, but about optimising it, shaping its future and supporting the people who rely on it every day. You will be managing a small team and reporting directly into the GM of People and Culture.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the optimisation of the Dayforce platform post-implementation, identifying inefficiencies, system gaps and opportunities for automation.
  • Drive
    workflow improvements
    , build
    audit-ready processes
    , and ensure strong
    compliance practices
, including clear documentation and data trails.
  • Design and embed consistent, efficient processes for HR transactions (e.g. terminations, onboarding), reducing manual effort across the team.
  • Mentor and support
two early-career team members - building their capability in troubleshooting, systems thinking, and stakeholder communication.
  • Provide hands-on troubleshooting support and escalate appropriately when needed - while coaching others to do the same.
  • Collaborate with HR, IT, compliance, retail, and distribution stakeholders to build confidence in system performance and governance.
  • Implement controls and frameworks that ensure long-term data integrity, auditability, and traceability.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in HRIS management or optimisation - ideally with
    Dayforce.
  • Deep understanding of
compliance, audit trails, and data governance
    in HR systems.
  • A process-improvement mindset - able to simplify the complex and bring structure to ambiguity.
  • Comfortable balancing strategy with hands-on delivery - this is not a purely advisory role.
  • Strong mentoring skills - able to coach and support a junior team, and build their confidence in a high-paced environment.
  • Confident in stakeholder engagement - especially in guiding the business on best practice and challenging assumptions where needed.
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and proactive - someone who doesn't wait to be told there's a problem before going to solve it.

If you feel as though you are suitable for this role - please apply using the link and Nicole from Core Talent will reach out to suitable applicants.
