About the role

Point Care' is seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in Rockhampton, Queensland. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and assistance to clients within our disability support services. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting clients with daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
  • Providing social and emotional support to clients, engaging them in meaningful activities and outings
  • Advocating for clients' needs and preferences, ensuring they receive personalised, person-centred care
  • Collaborating with the broader care team to develop and implement individualised care plans
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and records related to client care
  • Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

  • Experience working with extremely challenging clients.
  • Relevant qualifications in disability support, or a related field
  • Previous experience in a similar support worker role, with a demonstrated commitment to client-centred care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • A genuine passion for making a positive difference in the lives of our clients
  • A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (desirable)
