We are looking for an experienced Maintenance / Site Handyman to work closely with the Maintenance Manager working in this cold storage warehouse.

Everyday will be different ... if you like the variety & using your multi-skilled background then this role could be for you.

Tasks that may fill your day include:

  • Installing new equipment.
  • Competent use of handheld tools such as drill, hammer drill, power saw, grinder, blow torch, vice, blower, trimmer, mower etc
  • Experience with welding (Gasless welder) and metal cutting
  • Repairs & replacement of racking beams
  • Repairs & maintenance of automated warehouse equipment such as robotics, depalletiser, doors, baler, pallet wrappers, lights & panelling.

  • Watering forklift batteries, checking freezer machinery and reporting any issues with the Maintenance Manager

  • Other general maintenance and handy man repairs, including gardening & cleaning around the site

  • Must be familiar with use of warehouse equipment – forklift, tugger, pallet jack etc.

  • Must have current drivers licence (& own reliable car) & LF licence

  • Full training provided ... Most duties can be taught but MUST HAVE a maintenance background in a similar warehousing environment.

MUST HAVE OR BE WILLING TO GET VICTORIAN POLICE CHECK
