About the role: Clinical Nurse Educator – NICU
In this pivotal role as a Clinical Nurse Educator you will design, deliver, and evaluate innovative educational programs that shape the future of neonatal nursing. You will guide new staff as they begin their NICU journey, while also fostering the ongoing professional development of experienced clinicians.

Your expertise will directly support the delivery of clinical best practice, elevate patient and family experiences, and contribute to improved outcomes for our most vulnerable patients. With the full support of the NICU Nurse Educator and the Manager of Newborn Services, you will receive comprehensive orientation and tailored education to ensure your success in this specialised role.

Within the NICU, you will be welcomed into a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive team that values innovation, excellence, and compassion. Staff are encouraged to embrace professional growth, contribute to service improvements, and thrive in a workplace that champions wellbeing, diversity, and team spirit.

The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, flexible Clinical Nurse Educator with extensive experience in neonatal nursing. You will demonstrate empathy, resilience, and adaptability, underpinned by a strong commitment to evidence-based clinical practice. Exceptional communication skills—both written and verbal—will be essential, alongside an understanding or qualifications in adult learning principles and proven teaching ability.

We are proud of the strong, connected culture within our NICU team. While the environment is high-acuity and fast-paced, we take time to recognise and support one another. Professional growth is a cornerstone of our service, with open communication and regular feedback embedded in our culture. You will have opportunities to engage in ongoing training, leadership development, and quality improvement projects. Whether refining your leadership skills or contributing to strategic service development, you will be fully supported to grow and thrive in this rewarding role.
