The Project
The consortium of John Holland, Bouygues Construction, Arcadis Australia, Jacobs and Ventia has been selected to build South Australia's biggest-ever road infrastructure project. In partnership with the South Australian Government, this consortium forms the Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance.

The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.

The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels – the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in 2031. The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The T2D Alliance is committed to providing opportunities for local people, Aboriginal workers, apprentices, trainees and job seekers who are long-term unemployed and offers people an incredible opportunity to be a part of an iconic project

The Role
As VOC (Verification of Competency) Coordinator, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing all plant and equipment VOC assessments across the project, ensuring operators are competent, compliant, and qualified to perform their roles safely and efficiently.

You'll collaborate with supervisors, trainers, safety teams, and subcontractors to maintain accurate records, schedule assessments, and drive continuous improvement in operator competency management.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage the Verification of Competency (VOC) process for all plant operators.
  • Schedule and organise VOC assessments with site supervisors, assessors, and trainers.
  • Verify and maintain up-to-date records of operator tickets, licences, and VOC results.
  • Liaise with RTOs and assessors to ensure compliance with project and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor expiry dates and coordinate timely reassessments to maintain operator currency.
  • Generate compliance and audit reports for management and client requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of training and competency management systems.

About You

  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (TAE40116 or equivalent).
  • Previous experience in a similar role within construction, civil, mining, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of plant operations, competency frameworks, and WHS compliance.
  • Current driver's licence and RII tickets for plant such as Loader, Haul Truck, Telehandler, Excavator, or similar.
  • Excellent coordination and administrative skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience liaising with RTOs, assessors, and site-based teams.
  • Confident using training and compliance management systems (e.g., 3D Safety).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
