About the role

As the Stores Person, you will have the responsibility for the coordination of inward and outgoing inventories that supports the needs of both, internal and external, customers. Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and provide exemplary customer service whilst undertaking stores activities in a safe manner. Comply with laws and regulations in the country or region where you operate.

What you'll be doing

  • Accurate receival and dispatch of inventories in support of business requirements.
  • Monitor stock holdings and ensure inventory does not become obsolete.
  • Ensure sensitive consumable items are stored correctly to prevent deterioration.
  • Complete administrative tasks as required including the use of the Oracle NetSuite system daily.
  • Ensure goods are packed and dispatched in accordance with agreed timelines.
  • Undertake regular stock takes in line with business requirements.
  • Ensure the Stores housekeeping standards are maintained to an optimum level.
  • Ensure company engineering standards are followed without exception on all items within the Stores area and workshop.
  • Actively participate in workshop safety meetings in order to ensure that all issues associated with safety, productivity, grievances etc. are adequately aired in an open forum.

What we're looking for

  • 3- 5 years of industry experience as a stores person within a stores/warehouse heavy fabrication or mining environment
  • Current High-Risk License – LF
  • Experience in stock control systems, ideally with a firm understanding of the Oracle NetSuite system
  • Sound computer knowledge
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
