Clinipath Pathology is a Perth-based subsidiary of Sonic Healthcare with a reputation as a quality pathology service provider, focusing on professional excellence, reliability and excellent customer service.

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced Human Resources practitioner with strong ER skills to join our small HR team on a part time basis, 3 days per week for a 6 month contract role.

The Role

The main focus of this position is the provision of support and assistance to managers and employees across a range of Employee Relations and HR matters under the guidance of the Head of HR. This is a varied role, with a mix of HR generalist responsibilities with a strong ER focus.

The key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing advice to managers on the appropriate management of staff.
  • Supporting managers to action disciplinary, performance, fitness for work matters.
  • Responding to HR enquiries from managers and employees.
  • Advising and assisting managers with the preparation of employment contracts and the HR components of other documents & correspondence.
  • Providing comprehensive HR administration and support to the business across all aspects of the employee lifecycle.

Skills & Experience

The successful applicant will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations or a related field.
  • At least 5 years' experience providing ER & HR support to managers across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Extensive experience in drafting meeting notices, allegations, discussion planners and meeting outcomes in line with the Fair Work Act
  • The ability to build relationships quickly and confidently with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with particular focus on attention to detail and quick turn-around times.
  • A proven ability to maintain confidentiality and deal with sensitive matters with the discretion required.
  • The ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills.

Extensive ER and HR experience within a large organisation with more than 500 employees is required and experience in the health care sector is desirable.

The successful applicant must also have the right to work in Australia.

This role is based on-site at our Main Laboratory in Osborne Park, with on-site parking available. This is a part time role for 3 days per week for 6 months.
