About the role

Emerald Outside School Hours Care is seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Educator to join our vibrant team in Emerald, Queensland. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As a Childcare Educator, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and educational experiences for children aged 5-12 years.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in your care
  • Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities and educational programs
  • Foster children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents and the broader school community
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation as required
  • Adhere to all relevant childcare regulations, policies and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Certificate III in Children's Services or higher (or equivalent qualification recognised by ACECQA) or studying towards your qualification
  • Demonstrated experience working with children in a childcare or outside school hours care setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creativity and enthusiasm for engaging children in play-based learning
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team
  • Willing to work split shifts and school holidays
  • Current First Aid with Anaphylaxis and Asthma course or willing obtain
  • Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
