Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Reserve Bank of Australia Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

We are currently looking for an influential leader, who will inspire, engage and lead the Bank's IT Operations. In that role, you will ensure the availability and continuing evolution and improvement of the Bank's Technology Services.

As the Team Lead, Operations, you will also be responsible for ensuring that the IT Operations (Operators) are correctly equipped with the correct tools and skills to be reactive 24/7 for any Technology outages or system failures.

You will also be responsible for overseeing and optimising the Bank's event management processes, ensuring seamless execution of technology-related events.

Do work that makes a difference

  • Provide strong leadership to IT Operations to ensure monitoring, response and immediate resolution capabilities to ensure the stability of Bank services.
  • Drive down incidents by empowering teams to continually learn and improve processes with ability to restructure and transform incident management.
  • Ensure that the Bank has capabilities needed to maintain the integrity and availability of production environments including data centres, communication rooms and other related production sites.
  • Maintain and grow a continuous improvement culture and practices across the team.
  • Lead the ongoing maturing of risk management outcomes, processes and culture across IT Operations

Skills and Experience

  • Experience in leading a team providing 24x7 critical operations for critical infrastructure. Maintain enterprise tools to automate, schedule, release, deploy and monitor all services.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience in building effective long term relationships
  • The successful candidate will be on call outside business hours to lead resolution for critical incidents.
  • Monitor systems and services and provide 1st level support in line with predefined operational controls, processes and requirements. Continually improve the effectiveness and effectiveness of IT systems by IT operations.
  • Respond to system requests and messages, while monitoring IT incidents across operating system, network and application environments.
  • Ensure operational accountability in regards to people management and processes.
  • Lead, guide and develop individuals and teams, including project teams where required, to effectively achieve area outcomes.
  • Enable and recognise workforce performance in a way that encourages continuous improvement and maximises the value that can be delivered through technology investments.
  • Contribute to the improvement of policies, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information, disciplined documentation and alignment with industry standards.
  • Experience in real time monitoring technologies with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
