About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Team Leader to take charge of our warehouse team, keep operations on track, and ensure products are prepared and dispatched on time. This role requires someone with strong communication, organisational, and time management skills who can confidently direct staff and maintain high standards of performance.

The key focus of this role is to:

  • Lead, motivate, and direct a small team to achieve daily targets.
  • Ensure workflow is maintained and products are dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Provide clear instructions and maintain accountability across the team.
  • Work closely with and provide support to the Warehouse Management Team while taking responsibility for leading staff and meeting daily targets.

  • Manage daily warehouse operations including:

  • Printing orders and picking slips via IT systems.

  • Preparing and inspecting coffins, caskets, and accessories for storage or customer orders.
  • Ensuring all paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
  • Picking, packing, and quality-checking customer orders.
  • Assisting with stock control and inventory management.
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and organised warehouse environment.
  • Uphold company WHS policies and safe work procedures.
  • Perform deliveries to clients on occasion (car licence required).

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a leadership or time-management role (essential).
  • Strong communication skills – able to clearly direct staff, manage performance and converse with interstate Senior Management.
  • Confidence in dealing with team challenges and keeping staff accountable.
  • Solid organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain proactive, motivated, and hands-on when required.
  • Some HR knowledge/experience in managing people is an advantage.
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to quality.
