About Us
At Gray Dawes Group, we're one of the fastest-growing and most ambitious travel management and events companies in the world. With over £500m in global sales and a team spanning Australia, New Zealand, the UK, the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, and the Philippines, we're proud to be recognised as industry leaders - with plenty of awards to prove it.
At Gray Dawes Travel, we deliver travel that's high touch, high tech, and high content. More than the best fares, slickest tools, or smartest itineraries, our goal is to be a seamless extension of our clients' own teams - their out-of-house travel department. We take the time to understand their culture, brand, and objectives… and then we deliver (and then some).
This is an exciting time to join us as we expand across APAC and globally
About the Role
We're looking for somebody hungry for their next Part-Time challenge with a fun and fab team
So, whether you're an already well established and experienced Groups and Events Travel Specialist or you're a consistently high performing Corporate Travel Consultant, looking to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you
Reporting to the Head of Groups and Events, you'll deliver outstanding service, creative solutions, and smooth travel experiences for our clients. Day-to-day, you will be:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with Clients.
- Identifying new Client opportunities, converting enquiries and securing business alongside building Client relationships and managing Client event accounts.
- Proactively managing all aspects of client events from project kick-off to execution and post event wrap ensuring seamless delivery and high service. This includes advising on beneficial additional services, creative ideas, business solutions and negotiations.
- Managing all group travel logistics where required (i.e. researching, booking and co-ordinating group flights) and all other end-to-end client event requirements.
- Obtaining and leveraging a deep understanding of client business objectives and event requirements to provide tailored event solutions.
- Work within our business hours (Mon–Fri, 8am–6pm) for the first month in our plush new Melbourne CBD office each day (just to get you familiarised) then, on a hybrid basis giving you the best of both worlds: 3 days in-office with your Team and 2 days WFH.
Who We're Looking For
You're a highly organised self-starter with a commercial mindset and a customer-first approach. To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Solid Groups and Events Travel experience
- Strong knowledge of fares & ticketing (previous Sabre experience is ideal)
- Airline Portal bookings experience
- Excellent communication & attention to detail skills
- A collaborative, team-player attitude - we work, win and celebrate together
- Flexibility and willingness to attend (with notice) the occasional training, client, supplier & company events
What We Offer
At Gray Dawes, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We encourage you to be your best self, do the right thing, and work flexibly. Here's a taste of what you'll enjoy:
- Competitive salary
- Discounted in-house travel planning (yes, your holidays just got better)
- Hybrid working options
- Extra leave, including volunteering days
- A supportive, relaxed team environment
Next Steps
Think you tick most of the boxes? Great - we'd love you to hit Apply and let's chat, we can't wait to meet you Role not quite right for you? No worries - but if you know someone who'd nail the role, please send them our way. They might just end up owing you a coffee (or three)
