Brendale, Queensland, Australia Private Energy Partners Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

Job Title:
Planner Scheduler

Location:
Brendale, Brisbane QLD

Company:
Private Energy Partners

Schedule:
Monday - Friday

Private Energy Partners (PEP) is a fast-growing renewable energy developer on a mission to accelerate the decarbonization of energy. We deliver utility-scale renewable energy projects, related infrastructure and drive industrial decarbonisation. Our projects are commercially successful, technologically advanced, and rooted in responsible development.

The PEP team works closely with the investment teams at Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners across the US, UK and Australian energy markets. PEP was established to provide Quinbrook with enhanced capability in project origination, development, asset management and revenue optimisation.

At PEP, we are building more than just energy assets; we are building a team and a culture dedicated to powering a sustainable future.

We are seeking a proactive and methodical Planner Scheduler to join the foundational operations team at our brand-new, state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) facility in Brendale.

This isn't just another planning role. This is a unique opportunity to be the central coordinating hub for a critical piece of energy infrastructure. You won't be inheriting a legacy system; you'll be building the operational rhythm from the ground up, shaping the processes that will drive our success for years to come.

Your Role

As our Planner Scheduler, you will be the mastermind of our operational schedule. You will own the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and provide the crucial "helicopter view" that ensures our hands-on team has everything they need, when they need it. Your expert planning will directly impact the facility's availability, optimising maintenance to support Australia's energy grid. You will be the key link between our internal team, specialist contractors, and critical energy market stakeholders.

What You'll Bring to the Team

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Planner Scheduler, ideally from the power generation or a similar heavy industrial sector.
  • Deep expertise in CMMS, preferably MEX, with the skills to be a true system super-user.
  • A strategic mindset with a talent for forward-planning and avoiding "day-to-day fires."
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills, allowing you to coordinate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A solid understanding of industrial safety processes (PTW, LOTO) and WHS legislation in Queensland.
  • A genuine passion for renewable energy and a desire to make a tangible impact.

Why You'll Love Working With Us

We believe that investing in our people is the best way to ensure operational excellence.

  • A Culture of Teamwork and Trust:
We are building a lean, collaborative team where every member's contribution matters. You'll be part of a supportive, "no-blame" culture focused on collective learning and continuous improvement.
  • Mission-Driven Work:
See the direct impact of your team's work every day as you play a vital role in accelerating Australia's transition to a renewable energy future.
  • Work-Life Balance & Strategic Location:
Located in Brendale, our facility offers a fantastic commute from Brisbane's northern suburbs, with free on-site parking. Enjoy a predictable Monday-to-Friday schedule (with on-call duties) that allows you to pursue your passions outside of work.

Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance planning/scheduling role, ideally within the power generation industry.
  • Demonstrated experience with a major Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS), with a strong preference for MEX. Must have the capability to act as a system "super-user" to perform optimisations and bulk updates.
  • A solid understanding of electrical systems and the ability to effectively plan maintenance and operations in a complex industrial environment.
  • Thorough knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation relevant to an industrial facility and a clear understanding of Permit to Work (PTW) and Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
  • Knowledge of relevant standards such as AS/NZS 3000, AS 2067, SAE JA1011, ISO 55000, ISO 31000, AS1418, AS2550.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in a BESS, renewables, or power station environment.
  • An understanding of maintenance strategy development or reliability engineering.
  • Experience setting up a maintenance planning system or CMMS from scratch.
  • An electrical trade qualification.
  • Experience with contract management and procurement.
