Terms: Full-time, Continuing
Position Overview
The Executive Officer will play a pivotal role in providing high-level operational support to divisional leadership. The role is also responsible for preparing high-quality reports, submissions, and documentation for governance committees and external bodies, ensuring compliance with legislative and institutional requirements.
In addition, the position will manage key communication platforms such as newsletters, meetings, SharePoint, and Teams to strengthen collaboration and cohesion across the Division. - Professionalism and initiative: A proactive, adaptable, and collaborative approach to work, with sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Exceptional communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, briefings, and correspondence aligned with the ANU style guide.
- Digital capability: Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite of tools (experience with BI dashboard reporting development is an advantage).
- Stakeholder engagement: High-level interpersonal skills and experience liaising with key stakeholders, including senior executives.
- Governance and compliance knowledge: Familiarity with the Australian higher education sector and research-led university operations, with knowledge of ANU systems and an understanding of governance frameworks, procedures, and processes. (will be highly regarded.)
