As the steward for digitally enabling Australia's health system, the Agency plays a key role in coordinating national engagement, delivery, and adoption of digital health to facilitate person-centred, connected healthcare. Our responsibilities span national digital health services and systems, including My Health Record, Electronic Prescriptions, and the MyHealth App.

About the Role

The Availability and Continuity manager is a crucial role in the Technology Operations Branch and is accountable for the Service Integration and Management (SIAM) practice of Availability and IT Continuity management for Agency's products and systems including My Health Record and API Gateway.

The Availability and Continuity Manager will be the process owner with responsibility for developing and managing all policies, processes and procedures for Availability and IT Continuity management.


• Experienced in reporting, analysing and performance managing Availability and Continuity. Including experience in reviewing information in conjunction with Service Level Agreements to identify, manage and resolve issues.


• Your previous roles include the investigation of breaches of Availability targets and leading improvement initiatives.


• You will plan, undertake and report on Disaster Recovery and Continuity exercises. Identify and lead improvement initiatives.


• You will provide advice and guidance on the planning, design and improvement of system and service availability.


• Works with other process owners to ensure there is an integrated approach to design and implementation of capacity management, availability management and IT service continuity management.

What You'll Bring


• IT Service Operations v4 (e.g. ITIL v4) is essential.


• Graduate Degree in Information Technology and/or Business (desirable).


• 5 – 7 years relevant experience in IT Infrastructure Availability / Continuity or Incident Management.


• Experience in Azure, Dynatrace and AWS. (desirable)


• Process Design (especially Lean and Kanban)


• Service Integration and Management (SIAM) (desirable)

Eligibility


• Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.


• Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.


• Ability to obtain and maintain a baseline security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.
