About the Role (your why)
As the IT Service Continuity Manager, you will be responsible for managing the customers' continuity requirements and IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) Services.In this role, you will ensure the delivery of value to our customers and internal stakeholders through high-quality customer delivery of ITSCM Services, with the goal of Disaster Recovery readiness aligned with the customers' Service Continuity Plans.
This role is preferably based in proximity to our Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney Office. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best
Due to existing customer requirements which require AGSVA clearances, you must be an Australian Citizen to be eligible for this role (current AGSVA Baseline or NV1 Clearances is highly desirable, with the ability to obtain required).
What You'll Do
As an IT Service Continuity Manager working as part of our ITSCM Practice, you will be focused on:
- Leading Disaster Recovery teams in assessing, developing, coordinating and communicating recovery environment requirements and plans for our customers.
 - Ensuring Disaster Recovery plans align with relevant legislation and organisational insurance requirements.
 - Identifying recovery requirements for new applications and systems. Managing implementation of recovery and availability techniques and technologies and reviewing periodically for ongoing validity.
 - Maintaining monthly status reporting, plans, and other Disaster Recovery documentation.
 - Leading and representing the ITSCM service on behalf of Datacom to your customers.
 - Delivering high quality ITSCM services ensuring compliance with relevant Customer and Datacom policies, processes, and procedures.
 - Ensuring all stakeholders adhere to the relevant processes in line with customer requirements and Best Practices
 - Support customer Business Continuity and ITSCM projects as required.
 
What you will Bring:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial IT, with a background in both mainframe and client/server technologies.
 - Thorough, expert knowledge of information systems, operating systems, databases and networking.
 - Excellent customer relationship building and management skills with the ability to network and develop productive relationships with customers, stakeholders and suppliers.
 - Strong verbal and written communication skills with a wide variety of stakeholders.
