The role

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and vendors to define project scope and objectives.
  • Develop and manage project schedule and plans, budgets, and timelines; ensure transparency and accurate forecasting.
  • Create and maintain detailed project schedules using MS Project and based on Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) after liaising with technical teams.
  • Set up and manage Agile projects in JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
  • Prepare and deliver regular Project Status Reports for stakeholders.
  • Create and manage RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) registers.
  • Oversee all project phases—planning, execution, monitoring, and closure—within time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Manage project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks; facilitate resource allocation and team formation.
  • Communicate project status, milestones, and risks to stakeholders; lead regular team meetings.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, including large and complex initiatives.
  • Support pre-sales activities, opportunity assessment, and scope finalization
  • Foster knowledge sharing and professional development within the team and PMO community.

Skills Requirement:

  • Proficiency in MS Project for schedule creation and management.
  • Experience setting up and managing Agile projects in JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
  • Strong ability to develop project schedules based on WBS and technical team input.
  • Skilled in preparing Project Status Reports and managing RAID registers.
  • Strong financial, commercial, and risk management abilities.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder, and vendor management skills.
  • Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work across time zones, including after-hours as needed.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Leadership and team development skills.

What We Need to See from You

  • Full-Time Work Rights in Australia
  • Must be based in Melbourne (mandatory)
  • Must be able to work from Melbourne office – 2 days per week
  • Must be able to travel to client location for project work when required.

  • At least
    5+ years of hands-on proven experience
    delivering medium and large projects in at least one of:

  • Digital Workplace (Intune, Identity, Compliance, Security, M365, Windows rollout, Tenant Migration)

  • Cloud Services (Azure/AWS Landing Zone build, Cloud Migration)
  • Advisory Services (Oracle, IBM, WebLogic preferred)
  • Cyber Security (a bonus)

  • Project Management Certification required (Agile/Scrum not mandatory).
