Everybody knows a JJ's Truck when they see one . . . our iconic green and gold fleet head out rain or shine for collections in your area.

But did you know we have 23 divisions, 135 sites nationally, employ nearly 3000 people and operate a fleet of over 2300

We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

Our teams include Drivers/Operators, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, IT/Digital, Environment, Engineering, Industrial Chemists, Safety, Administration and much more . . .

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a JJ's Branch Manager / Operations Manager you will lead our depots in Wodonga & Wangaratta.

You will have a sense of urgency, be a natural people leader, with a customer focus and the ability to see the bigger picture, set objectives, and deliver results.

Lead the team and champion the day-to-day business functions

On a day-to-day basis, the work will include things like:

  • Manage all functions across multiple sites with 30+ employees
  • Plan for and react to change
  • Engage. lead and develop the team, and see it through
  • Deliver the overall branch strategy
  • Drive ongoing improvement initiatives
  • Ensure a high-level safety and customer service culture
  • Support and motivate the sales team to achieve growth targets
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, legal and regulatory requirements

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience working in a similar role
  • KPI and customer focused with the ability to perform under pressure
  • Engineering degree or technical background - highly regarded
  • The ability to prioritise, think laterally and make things happen
  • Experience in Transport/Logistics/Mobile Service industry
  • Be an approachable and supportive leader
  • Continuous improvement focused
  • Well-developed people and time management skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to be a quick learner in a fast pace and varied role
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, honesty and commitment
  • Ability to learn new internal programs and technology
  • Be proactive and strive to upskill
  • A commitment to achieving customer service of the highest standard
