As the Finance Manager, you will oversee core financial functions and ensure the integrity of financial reporting and compliance. This role is pivotal in supporting both internal operations and external stakeholder engagement.
Operating within a fast-paced and evolving environment, the department supports a wide range of initiatives-from infrastructure and community programs to digital platforms and regulatory services. The finance team is central to enabling these outcomes, ensuring fiscal responsibility, strategic planning, and compliance with public sector standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Prepare monthly management reports and financial performance summaries.
- Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
- Perform detailed expense reviews and provide insights to senior leadership.
- Manage the preparation and lodgement of BAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
- Liaise with external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and reporting standards.
About You:
- CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in financial management, ideally within a government or regulated environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
