About Us
Alya is a trusted registered NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support, offering a comprehensive range of services that support individuals with complex mental health needs, people who are neurodivergent, and those with physical or intellectual disabilities.
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join us on a casual basis to conduct risk assessments for NDIS participants receiving support worker services in line with NDIS frameworks and practice standards.
About the Role
As a skilled and detail-oriented risk assessor, you will collaborate with Alya's clinical team to conduct comprehensive evaluations for NDIS participants receiving support from our team. Your role will focus on assessing home environments, identifying risks associated with support services, and developing tailored emergency plans that prioritise safety and individual needs.
This role involves visiting participants in their homes across Brisbane and the SE, and will be working closely with participants, their families, and support teams to ensure safe and effective service delivery.

You are a thoughtful and detail-oriented individual with a passion for supporting others. Whether you're an experienced professional or a student in nursing, allied health, or community services, you bring strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and a person-centred approach to your work.
Key Responsibilities
· Conduct in-home risk assessments for NDIS participants.
· Identify and document risks related to support worker services.
· Collaborate with internal teams and participants to develop emergency plans.
· Ensure assessments align with NDIS Practice Standards and Duty of Care.
· Maintain clear and accurate records.
Requirements
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and travel locally.
· Experience in understanding and conducting risk assessments.
· Experience in disability support, social work, nursing, or allied health.
· Understanding of NDIS frameworks and Dignity of Risk.
· NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligible to obtain).
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 24 per week
