The Role

Based at the award-winning Adelaide Hills Convention Centre in beautiful Hahndorf, we're looking for an experienced casual chef to join our team. You'll support the kitchen in delivering high-quality meals for weddings, conferences, and events — sometimes working solo and always with attention to detail and pride in your work.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Preparing and presenting high-standard dishes for events and functions
  • Occasionally managing smaller functions or prep independently
  • Maintaining a clean, organised kitchen and following food safety standards
  • Supporting the broader kitchen team during busy periods
About You:
  • Experience in conference, high-end restaurant or event catering environments
  • Comfortable working both independently and in a team
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
  • Calm, efficient and quality-focused in a fast-paced setting
  • Flexible across a 7-day roster, including weekends and public holidays
  • Positive attitude with strong time management and communication skills
