Our industry leading program is a 12-month paid opportunity for final-year Construction and Project Management students to gain hands-on experience and exposure to the construction industry.

It's been 9 years since we launched this program, during which we have cultivated strong industry talent and take pride in providing a robust pathway that empowers our people to excel and thrive in their careers.

Check out some of the things our current (and previous) graduates are saying about our program:

  • Ability to translate the theoretical into the practical knowledge of Construction industry
  • Opportunity to network with industry professionals across both sites and offices
  • Great level of flexibility to work around your Uni schedule
  • Smaller company has more of a personal feel with a culture to match
  • Exposure to a broad range of projects - different projects scopes, size and works
  • Expedite your career in with a 12-month program
  • Mentoring program is very valuable
  • Undertaking meaningful work in a supportive environment
  • Gain exposure to different areas of the construction industry to assist you in defining your career direction.

The Opportunity

Our Cadet Program is completed in your final year of study, from January 2026 to December 2026. You will work 3 days per week, with flexibility to fit around your study commitments.

Our 12-month program is designed to give you meaningful exposure across different areas - a chance to "dip your toe in", gain real industry experience and help you get ready to launch your career once you have completed your studies.

Through structured, hands-on rotations, Cadets will spend time across our three core business areas, gaining insight into a variety of teams and projects:

  • Construction Division - Estimating, Project Coordinating (alongside a PM/CA) and on-site experience with a Site Manager
  • Services Division - Including exposure to our Maintenance and Electrics Teams
  • HSEQ Team - Exposure to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality practices.

To help you though the program, you will be partnered with a mentor who has previous experience in in our program. Your mentor will provide guidance throughout your journey, ensuring your experience is positive and meaningful. You'll also have regular group check-ins and access to ongoing learning opportunities, with continuous feedback during each rotation to help you develop professionally.

Getting your work boots dirty is part of the fun As a cadet, you'll work across our North Melbourne, Notting Hill, and Keilor Park offices — as well as on various project sites. This provides a great balance of office exposure and hands-on site experience where the real action happens.
