Design & Build Recruitment have partnered with a multi-award winning boutique residential construction firm specialising in custom new builds and major renovations in Sydney's beautiful suburbs.

The close-knit team has grown organically in the industry and is seeking a Building Designer to specialise in architectural design and drafting services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences.
  • Develop detailed building designs and architectural plans using Revitsoftware.
  • Prepare documentation for council submissions, including development applications and building permits.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Provide creative and practical solutions to design challenges.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into design work.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar position.
  • Proficiency in Revit software.
  • Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes including DA / CDC / CC.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Creative flair with a keen eye for detail.
  • Prior experience in residential design is highly desirable.
