Design & Build Recruitment have partnered with a multi-award winning boutique residential construction firm specialising in custom new builds and major renovations in Sydney's beautiful suburbs.
The close-knit team has grown organically in the industry and is seeking a Building Designer to specialise in architectural design and drafting services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences.
- Develop detailed building designs and architectural plans using Revitsoftware.
- Prepare documentation for council submissions, including development applications and building permits.
- Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
- Provide creative and practical solutions to design challenges.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues that arise.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate into design work.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Building Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- 5+ years' experience in a similar position.
- Proficiency in Revit software.
- Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and construction processes including DA / CDC / CC.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Creative flair with a keen eye for detail.
- Prior experience in residential design is highly desirable.
