Director of Experiential Learning

Claremont, Australia Christ Church Grammar School Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Christ Church Grammar School, located in Claremont on the banks of the Swan River in Perth, Western Australia, has been educating boys since 1910 and is renowned for its academic excellence, exceptional pastoral care, and vibrant co-curricular offerings. The School provides a welcoming, non-selective entry for students from Pre-Kindy to Year 12 and consistently ranks among Australia's top schools.

We are now seeking an outstanding educator and strategic leader to join our team as Director of Experiential Learning. This is a rare opportunity to lead the design and delivery of transformative, real-world learning experiences—on and off campus—that foster character, resilience, empathy, and global citizenship in our students.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the holistic development of our boys, overseeing a rich and diverse portfolio of programs and activities that extend well beyond the academic domain. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Senior School (Planning and Co-Curricular), this leadership position is responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of these initiatives, ensuring they are inclusive, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with the School's mission to develop the inner man.

An understanding of how meaningful, age appropriate challenges and transitions can serve as modern rites of passage is central to this role, as many of these experiences are intentionally designed to support boys through key stages of their growth into young men and well beyond their time at school.

This demanding role requires proven experience in leading co-curricular or experiential programs within an educational setting, along with strong organisational, planning, and risk management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, possess excellent interpersonal skills, and bring a deep passion for fostering empathy, resilience, and global awareness in young people.
