About the role

Explorers Learning Academy, a highly regarded early childhood education provider, is seeking a passionate and experienced Room Leader for our Preschool room, ideally you will be an ECT or currently working towards. This is a full-time position based in Bardia, NSW. As the Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and enriching environment that supports the children's social, emotional, and cognitive development.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement engaging educational programs that align with the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Supervise and mentor a team of Educators to ensure high-quality care and learning outcomes
  • Build strong relationships with children and their families, fostering open communication and collaboration
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including work health and safety
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service through reflective practice and feedback
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

What we're looking for

  • Minimum Graduate Diploma or Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • Demonstrated experience as a Room Leader or in a similar supervisory role within the childcare sector
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences
  • Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and the ability to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
