About the Opportunity:
The Stock Control Assistant is responsible for assisting and managing all inventory control-related activities including controlling the inward and outward flow of vehicles, current vehicle stock, and communication with the sales team. The Stock Control Assistant must comply with established policies and procedures. Tasks and responsibilities will be allocated by the Stock Controller.
This is a Part Time role working 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Purchase inventory in an accurate and timely manner using proven methodical analysis and methods – in conjunction with Stock Controller, General Sales Manager & Dealer Principal.
- Assists the sales team in the ordering of vehicle stock.
- Ensure that all tasks required to be completed on a vehicle are actioned.
- Facilitates the administrative inventory purchase process with accuracy and timeliness.
- Managing all car registration functions, including ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements.
- Ensures inventory is kept up to date within the DMS (Dealership Management System).
- Manage control measures to ensure errors, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed, and resolved.
Ideal Candidates will have:
- Experience in Stock Control within a dealership.
- Excellent planning, business administration, and analytical skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Process driven with strong initiative.
- Ability to meet deadlines and achieve set sales targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a demanding and complex working environment.
- A strong customer orientation.
- Ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Proficient with DMS (Dealership Management System) and Microsoft Office suite is highly regarded, but not essential.
