Your new company

Our client is looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to join their team on a 4-month short-term temporary contract with the possibility of extension.

Your new role

  • Promote and support the adoption of procurement systems and procedures across the organisation.

  • Ensure alignment with the Procurement Framework and related policies.

  • Assist in developing, managing, and reviewing contracts under $250k.

  • Maintain supplier panels and preferred supplier lists, including performance reviews and updates.

  • Manage procurement tasks in systems like Clarity and Tenderlink.

  • Organise and coordinate procurement activities including RFPs, evaluations, and approvals.

  • Analyse supplier and expenditure data to generate supply chain insights.

  • Provide regular reports to stakeholders on procurement activity and supplier performance.

  • Ensure procurement activities meet internal and legislative standards.

  • Support audits and implement recommendations to improve compliance and governance.

  • Identify and implement improvements in procurement systems, policies, and procedures.

  • Manage supplier communications regarding performance, compliance, and project matters.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Holds a relevant tertiary qualification supporting procurement and contract management expertise.

  • Demonstrates substantial experience across relevant industries, particularly in procurement and land development.

  • Strong ability to manage and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support procurement outcomes.

  • Skilled in analysing data and applying insights to improve procurement strategies and supplier performance.

  • Understands statutory, regulatory, and policy frameworks governing procurement activities.

  • Applies knowledge of contract law within the context of the land development industry to ensure compliance and effective contract management.

  • Maintains a strong focus on customer needs, ensuring procurement activities align with expectations and deliver value
