Position Overview: We are seeking a capable and motivated Fire Technician to join our team. As a Fire Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing fire safety equipment, with a strong focus on fire door replacements and installs. This is an immediate start opportunity with a leader in the Trades & Services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire doors to ensure compliance with relevant safety standards
• Install and replace fire doors and frames (including hardware fit-off and final commissioning)
• Perform repairs and adjustments on fire doors (gaps, seals, closers, hinges, latching)
• Conduct preventative maintenance on fire safety equipment
• Respond to callouts for emergency fire safety issues
• Maintain detailed records and photo documentation of all work performed
• Collaborate with clients to address their fire safety needs on site

Qualifications and Experience:

• Relevant trade qualifications in fire safety or a related field (carpentry highly regarded)
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Fire Technician or similar role
• Practical experience with fire door installs/replacements and repairs
• Detailed knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 – $55.00 per hour
