About the Role:

The role of Instrumentation Monitoring Engineer is responsible for providing technical solutions, operational support, and maintenance for a range of monitoring and measurement systems used in industrial, construction, mining, or environmental applications. The role involves designing and implementing monitoring solutions, calibrating and troubleshooting instruments, and ensuring data accuracy and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate/ acquire prospects and capture market interest
  • Assessing client needs and recommending suitable monitoring technologies.
  • Oversee and coordinate the installation, calibration, and commissioning of monitoring equipment.
  • Develop and maintain data acquisition systems and ensure continuous, reliable data collection.
  • Performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Analysing monitoring data to identify trends, anomalies, and potential issues.
  • Providing remote and onsite technical support to resolve client problems quickly.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and coordinate maintenance or replacement as needed.
  • Train site personnel on monitoring procedures and safety protocols.
  • Liaising with manufacturers and suppliers for technical updates and spare parts.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an experienced and solutions-focused Instrumentation Monitoring Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in monitoring systems, sensors, and instrumentation, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain solutions that meet diverse client needs. You will be confident in troubleshooting complex technical issues, providing responsive support, and ensuring the accuracy and reliability of monitoring data.

Qualifications and Experience:

· Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, or related field

· Proven experience in instrumentation and monitoring within the construction or infrastructure sector.

· Familiarity with remote monitoring systems and IoT-based solutions.

· Knowledge of Australian Standards and local regulatory requirements

You will possess:

  • Proven experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and field monitoring equipment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and stakeholders.
  • Practical hands-on skills for installation, calibration, and maintenance of monitoring systems.
  • A customer-focused approach with the ability to translate technical solutions into client value.
  • Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
