Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Maintenance Specialist to maintain our extensive network of instrumentation systems across Australia.

  • Travel to remote locations using 4WDs, planes, boats, and helicopters
  • Maintain Rain Radars, Automatic Weather Stations, Upper-Air monitoring systems, Sea Level Monitoring Stations, Wave and Wave height buoys, Satellite ground reception and space weather instruments, Flood warning/rainfall monitoring systems, Cooperative observers, volunteer rainfall stations, and Communications, telemetry and instrumentation systems

This role involves working independently and as part of a team to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of all staff. You will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks on various instrumentation networks, collaborating with stakeholders and contractors, and participating in competency-based training on all equipment.

Requirements:
  • APS Level 5 qualification
  • Previous field experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Australia
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance tasks on various instrumentation networks
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and contractors to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Participate in competency-based training on all equipment
