Handyperson- Sydney CBD

CBC are seeking a reliable and skilled General Service Handyman to support our facilities operations across multiple sites within the Sydney CBD. The successful candidate will provide a broad range of maintenance and repair services, ensuring all sites remain safe, functional, and well-presented.

This role involves hands-on general maintenance, assisting licensed trades, and performing service walkthroughs to identify and address minor building issues before they become major problems.

This role is based full time in the Sydney CBD across multiple sites and reports to the Contract Manager.

Your Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct general building maintenance and repair works, including but not limited to:

  • Door repairs, adjustments, and replacements

  • Joinery and cabinetry maintenance
  • Basic painting, patching, and surface repairs
  • Desk, furniture, and workstation modifications
  • Working with sub-contractors for interstate works.
  • Perform regular service walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs across multiple sites.
  • Assist electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians with general labour or minor works.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and in accordance with company and client standards.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and service materials in clean, safe working order.
  • Record works completed through maintenance management systems or service logs.
  • Provide responsive support for urgent repairs as required.

Requirements:

  • National Police Check or willing to obtain
  • Driver's licence
  • Flu Vaccination
  • WHS/OHS Induction Card (White/Blue/Red Ticket)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
