  • Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on a fixed term to September 2027.
  • Base salary range: $104,243 – $115,661 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.

About the area

The Strategy, Planning and Performance (SPP) division leads the development and maintenance of university-wide integrated strategic plans, planning processes, initiatives, and performance requirements to support the University in achieving its objectives and enhancing its overall performance and reputation.

The Division also coordinates the provision of timely and accurate business intelligence, information, and reporting to support effective planning and decision-making across the University, including fulfilling Government reporting obligations in compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.

About the opportunity

  • You will play a key role in delivering quality operational reporting with a strong focus on government and sector reporting to ensure the University's statutory compliance.
  • Working within a skilled team, you will collect, analyse, and submit accurate data that meets all government requirements and deadlines.
  • Your expertise will be critical in interpreting regulatory frameworks and maintaining compliance, helping the University manage risks and uphold transparency.

About you

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Data Science Computer Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools, including R, Python, Databricks, Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical findings and compliance risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, show initiative, problem solve and work productively as part of a team.

Special requirements

  • Expertise in Advanced level R programming.
