Cosca Partners Holdings Pty Ltd is looking for a detail-driven and proactive Accounts and Payroll Officer to join our dynamic team. The Role
As our Accounts & Payroll Officer, you'll play a key role in managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate payroll processing, and supporting the broader finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is both meticulous with numbers and confident in delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process fortnightly payroll, including Superannuation and PAYG
· Maintain employee records and respond to payroll-related queries
· Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
· Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
· Assist with BAS, PAYG, and other statutory reporting
· Support month-end and year-end financial processes
· Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders as needed
· Assist localised team on an ongoing and as needed basis
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a meticulous and reliable finance professional who thrives on structure, accuracy, and confidentiality. They bring a solid foundation in payroll and accounting practices, paired with a proactive mindset and a genuine commitment to supporting both internal teams and client outcomes.
They are confident navigating accounting software, interpreting financial data, and ensuring compliance with Australian payroll legislation. With strong interpersonal skills, they communicate clearly and respectfully—whether resolving payroll queries or collaborating with colleagues across departments.
This person takes pride in their work, meets deadlines with ease, and is always looking for ways to improve processes. Experience in a professional services or financial planning environment is a plus, but above all, they're someone who values integrity, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Key Skills & Attributes:
· Proven experience in payroll and accounts administration
· Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation and accounting principles
· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, or similar)
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft suite
· High attention to detail and excellent time management
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
· Experience with inter-entity transactions
Desirable:
· Minimum 5 years or payroll experience is required
· Minimum 5 years of accounting experience is essential
· Experience using Employment Hero and Dext (previously Receipt Bank)
· Certificate IV or higher in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Payroll
· Experience in a professional services or financial planning environment
