About the Role

We are seeking dedicated casual and part time Catering Assistants/ Food Services Assistants to join our hospitality team. In this vital role, you will assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving; maintain kitchen cleanliness; and help ensure the wellbeing of our residents through safe and high-quality food service.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve meals in accordance with individual resident needs and preferences
  • Maintain kitchen and dining area hygiene as per our Food Safety Plan
  • Clean and store dishes, cutlery, and kitchen equipment
  • Accurately complete food safety records and follow infection control procedures
  • Support the Chef and Catering Manager as required
  • Promote respectful and compassionate interactions with residents

About You

Previous experience in an aged care, hospital, or commercial kitchen (desirable)

Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, WHS, and kitchen operations

Effective teamwork and communication skills

Ability to prioritise tasks and follow procedures

Comfortable using basic kitchen equipment (e.g. dishwashers, food processors)

Respectful, reliable, and committed to caring for the elderly

Current Police Clearance willingness to obtain

Valid working rights in Australia

Qualifications (desirable):

  • Cert II or III in Hospitality or Kitchen Operations
  • Basic Food Safety Practices Certificate
