Your Opportunity
We are seeking applications for a
Principal Contract Management
to join our Nova Nickel Operation as we safely and proudly bring the mine to a close in late 2026.
Reporting to the GM Nova and supported by the Manager Supply Chain, the role focuses on the
post-award phase
of contract management ensuring strategic contracts are administered, monitored, and closed out effectively. You will work closely with operations, procurement, legal, and finance teams to ensure contracts deliver value and are executed in line with business objectives and contractual obligations.
Why This Role Matters
This role is pivotal in driving performance, compliance, and value across high-risk and strategic contracts. You'll act as a key liaison between Contract Owners, Procurement, and external suppliers, ensuring excellence in execution, risk mitigation, and supplier relationships.
What You'll Do
- Monitor and manage contract performance against KPIs, milestones, and deliverables;
- Administer contract variations, extensions, renewals, and terminations;
- Identify and mitigate contractual risks and support resolution of disputes and claims;
- Chair monthly contract meetings to drive operational discipline;
- Coach and mentor contract owners and their delegates in effective contract management;
- Maintain accurate documentation ensuring compliance with internal governance and external regulations;
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure obligations are met and value is maximised;
- Support audits, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives related to contract execution; and
- Conduct historical reviews of major contracts.
What You'll Bring
We are seeking applications from candidates who meet most of the following requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in post-award contract management, preferably in mining, resources, or heavy industry (underground and/or Contractor experience well regarded);
- Tertiary qualification in Law, Business, Commerce, or related discipline;
- Strong understanding of contract administration, performance management, and compliance;
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills;
- Experience with spend analysis and review;
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong analytical/report writing capabilities;
- Valid 'C' class manual drivers licence; and
- National Police Clearance obtained within the last two months.
