The Role

As an Authorised Review Officer, you will be writing reviews of decisions on child care provider approval, imposing sanctions on providers and recovering debt. We are a small team that makes big decisions.

Duties and Responsibilities

In this role, your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Making review decisions in your own right, including writing decisions in accordance with the Family Assistance Law and the principles of administrative law.
  • Applying sound judgement in interpreting legislation, guidelines, data and evidence in writing decisions.
  • Reviewing and analysing lengthy and detailed information, identifying pertinent material relevant to the decision.
  • Prioritising and organising your work under limited direction with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Communicating effectively and professionally with stakeholders.
  • Maintaining a high level of record keeping.

Eligibility
