THE COMPANY

Our client is a CA, mid-tier firm located in the bustling suburbs of Subiaco.  They take a holistic approach to finances, providing services from corporate finance, tax to wealth creation and superannuation.  They work across a variety of industry sectors, so you won't get tired of doing the same thing over and over again.  You will also have the ability to transition into other parts of the business.

They service a lot of ASX listed clients and you will deal with a high proportion of clients in the Mining sector.  They have a very sociable culture with EOFY and Christmas parties, weekends away to the Gold Coast, Rottness Island and Broom.  When it comes to training and development, you will not only have your CA paid for, but they will also support you with mentoring and they offer extra study leave. They hold external training and weekly seminars because they want their employees to progress through the organisation and work up a set career path. 

The team themselves are vibrant, sociable, fun and supportive and they often involve themselves in several community initiatives and charities.  If you love your sports too, you're in luck, as these guys have numerous sports teams.

If you work hard and prove yourself, you can progress all the way to Partner level.  They have a transparent approach to their promotions and they are based on your productivity and performance, not how long you have been doing the job for.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Expect to be involved in providing strategic advice and business services to a wide range of businesses, including tax compliance and business advisory such as a restructuring, succession planning and family life planning.

Reporting to a Manager, you can expect to be responsible for:

  • Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies and trusts, partnerships & individuals
  • Maintain and care for your clients in a face to face environment
  • Assisting Managers in the completion of work assignments
  • Foster and maintain client relationships

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

  • 3-6 years' experience in tax and business services
  • Bachelor of Business/Commerce majoring in Accounting and Finance
  • Working towards CA qualifications (but they may consider a CPA)
  • Knowledge of Xero and MYOB products would be advantageous
