Job Description

We are seeking an experienced
DevOps Engineer
with strong expertise in
Terraform, Python, and AWS Cloud engineering
to join our team in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure automation, and modern DevOps practices to support enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain
    CI/CD pipelines
    for IaaS and PaaS workloads on AWS.
  • Deliver enterprise CI/CD capabilities and provide best practice guidance across programs.
  • Implement workload hosting for
    Java, , and React
    applications.
  • Develop and maintain
    Terraform scripts
    for AWS services enablement.
  • Build and support
    serverless applications
    (AWS Lambda, ).
  • Enable observability using tools like
    OpenTelemetry, Lightstep
    , and other logging/monitoring solutions.
  • Collaborate with teams to design and integrate
    RESTful APIs
    and
    microservices
    .
  • Contribute to
    database design and integration
    (Postgres, Oracle, SQL, AWS RDS).
  • Apply
    Object-Oriented Design (OOD)
    principles and problem-solving skills to build scalable systems.
  • Participate in all stages of Agile software development, including design, coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Conduct unit, integration, and non-functional testing to ensure system reliability.
  • Collaborate across global teams using documentation and video conferencing tools.
  • Develop
    Python scripts
    for automation, workflows (e.g., MWAA), and system integrations.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven
    DevOps experience on AWS
    with strong background in
    Terraform
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    GitLab, Nexus, and HashiCorp Vault
    .
  • Experience designing CI/CD pipelines for
    application and infrastructure deployments
    .
  • Strong skills in
    logging, monitoring, and debugging
    distributed systems.
  • Solid understanding of
    complex/semi-structured data formats
    (JSON, XML).
  • Experience in
    API design (Swagger/OpenAPI)
    and microservices architecture.
  • Strong background in
    database technologies
    and data integration.
  • Excellent delegation, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
