Intrinzic has partnered exclusively with a leading financial services organisation to help expand their DevOps Engineering team in Sydney.

About The Role

We're looking for a proactive DevOps Engineer to join a growing cloud engineering team. You'll work across a modern AWS stack, building and managing containerised and serverless environments that power critical business applications.

You'll join a fast-moving, supportive environment - ideal for someone who enjoys solving problems, automating processes, and continuously improving how things are done.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
  • Manage and optimise EKS clusters and container workloads.
  • Deploy and support serverless applications using API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB.
  • Configure and maintain AWS networking, including VPCs, Transit Gateway, and Security Groups.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate cloud provisioning.
  • Collaborate with development and architecture teams to design scalable, secure systems.
  • Identify opportunities for performance, cost, and process improvements across the platform.

Key Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience with AWS infrastructure and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes and containers.
  • Solid experience with Terraform and AWS CDK.
  • Background in systems or network engineering, with a transition into DevOps.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation.
  • Comfortable learning quickly, adapting to new tools, and using AI to enhance productivity.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
