Responsible for assisting with the implementation of key actions within the City's Economic Development Strategy, and promoting economic development, investment and business opportunities within the City. The role will be required to work with existing and potential businesses to attract investment and improve business outcomes while increasing employment opportunities within the region.
A creative professional, you will assist in developing marketing collateral, investment prospectuses and online content. You will also be organised, with the ability to maintain records, registers, business directories and precinct maps. The position will also assist with coordination of logistics for visiting delegations, arranging meetings, workshops and forums and the administration of the City's business grants portfolio.
To be considered for this role, you must address the following essential selection criteria as part of your online application:
- Understanding of economic development principles
- Understanding of modern marketing tactics and trends, with specific reference to economic development and investment attraction
- Experience in economic development, business development, marketing or property development
- Broad knowledge and understanding of the businesses and industries and the current issues and trends in the Rockingham Region
- Sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills
We are offering a gross annual salary of $91,088 per annum and:
- 12% superannuation with the opportunity to co-contribute up to a matching 5%
