Global Business Development Role – SE Asia and North America
BoardOutlook was founded in 2019 on the belief that we could build software to help more boards become great boards, for the collective benefit of directors, shareholders, employees and society as a whole. Since that time, we have worked with hundreds of boards and thousands of directors.
We are now looking for an International Markets Sales Director to lead our growth across South-East Asia and North America. This role is ideal for someone with proven enterprise sales experience, strong international networks and the drive to open new markets for a platform already trusted by leading boards globally.

BoardOutlook is a board performance platform designed specifically to enhance board effectiveness. Through rich diagnostics and powerful analytics, we provide boards with a holistic overview of their performance, helping them to understand areas for improvement and areas to optimise. 2. About This Role2.1 Why We're Hiring an Emerging Markets Sales Director
We see significant opportunities to extend BoardOutlook's presence across SE Asia and North America. The Emerging Markets Sales Director will take ownership of this opportunity, building new client relationships, activating local advocates and establishing BoardOutlook as the trusted partner for boards in these regions.
2.2 What Your First Three Months Will Look LikeIn your first 90 days, we expect you to:
Build and prioritise a pipeline across SE Asia and North America
Secure at least ten SQLs across new markets.
Represent BoardOutlook at industry forums and events to raise profile and generate leads.
Leverage advocates and consulting firm relationships to accelerate introductions.
Provide structured feedback to leadership on local market dynamics to inform strategy and product positioning.
3. About YouWe're looking for someone with a strong track record in international business development and governance.
You will bring:
7+ years of sales or business development experience, ideally in governance or professional services.
A strong network across SE Asia and/or the US/Canada.
Exceptional relationship-building skills, credible with Chairs, Directors, and governance professionals.
A proven ability to deliver growth in new markets and build trust at senior levels.
Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline (HubSpot experience ideal but not a requirement).
The flexibility and ambition to thrive in a fast-paced, global startup environment.
5. LocationThis is a global role. Our head office is in Melbourne, with a team in London, but you can be based flexibly. Regular international travel is expected.
6. CompensationOur compensation package for this role is $170-200k plus super and bonus. We also offer a generous ESOP (share option) grant for permanent employees. The ESOP gives employees meaningful financial participation and upside in the success of the business.
