Join the RACQ Auto Team – Automotive Electrician or Technician Opportunity
We are seeking dedicated Automotive Electricians and Technicians to join the dynamic team at RACQ Auto, where you'll deliver excellence and reliability to our valued members.
As a skilled Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing electrical systems in a wide range of vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient operation of vehicle electrical components, contributing to a high-quality service experience for RACQ members.
As an Automotive Technician, you will inspect, maintain and repair a range of vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair faults in vehicle electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, ignition, battery, charging, and electronic control units (ECUs)
- Service and repair member, fleet, and staff vehicles in accordance with RACQ's fleet maintenance program – including passenger, light, and medium-duty commercial vehicles
- Perform electrical upgrades and installations, including accessories and aftermarket systems
- Maintain and repair workshop electrical equipment as required
- Compile and maintain accurate service and diagnostic records
About you:
- Trade qualified Automotive Electrician or Mechanic with strong auto electrical experience
- Proficient in diagnosing complex electrical and electronic faults using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including CAN bus networks and engine management systems
- Able to carry out work to a high standard in a safe and timely manner
- Current C Class Driver's Licence
- Able to complete pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screen, and criminal record check
- On-site role, Monday to Friday, 8am – 4:30pm (with opportunities to support across other sites)
- Annual salary commencing from $80,080, negotiable depending on experience
