At Northparkes, we are known for having innovative, technical and collaborative people. The operations include block caving, sub-level caving and open pit and was the first mine in Australia to use the block cave mining method. This roster is 7:7 and a 12 hour day, dayshift only roster. This role is a residential position within the Parkes local area.

About the role

The current sub-level cave at Northparkes offers a solid 10-year mine life, including five years of development mining. Following this, Evolution Mining has a pipeline of future projects that will extend operations for another decade. This long-term outlook presents a unique opportunity for a stable and rewarding career with Evolution, offering continuity, growth, and the chance to be part of a forward-focused team shaping the future of mining in the region.

Reporting to the Underground Mining Coordinator, this role's all about keeping the wheels turning underground. You'll be part of the crew making sure everything's running smoothly—from air and water to power and ground support. If you're handy, hard-working, and happy to muck in, this is your kind of gig.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Getting stuck into ventilation, water, power, ground support, and compressed air tasks
• Helping out your mates and leaning on the Shift Supervisor when needed
• Pitching in with mine services—fixing up old infrastructure and helping install new gear like roadways, air, water, and cables
• Running logistics and stores trucks—moving explosives, ground support gear, and whatever else needs shifting
• Keeping safety front and centre, spotting risks, and doing things the right way
• Living the Evolution values every shift

About you

You're a reliable team player who's not afraid of hard work and knows your way around underground operations. You've got the tickets, the attitude, and the drive to get the job done.

What we're chasing:

• Based in Parkes or keen to make the move
• At least 12 months' experience in a similar underground role
• Working at Heights ticket
• Security clearance to handle explosives
• Safety-focused mindset—non-negotiable
• Current "C" Class Australian Driver's Licence
