Your new role
As the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in shaping this function, its growth and evolution. You will lead commercial project delivery for major defence projects. This includes developing and delivering on commercial strategies, commercial management of the project, head contract review, administration & formation and administration of subcontracts. You will support development and implementation of best practice management frameworks, plans and processes. In addition to contract management and negotiations to maximise commercial outcomes and performance, alongside identifying and manage commercial risks.
What you'll need to succeed
- Must be willing to relocate - this can be phased and relocation assistance is offered.
- Degree in business, commerce, law, or related field
- Formal training in commercial/contract management (e.g., CMBOK)
- Experience managing complex contracts valued between $10M-$100M
- Experience with Australian Defence contracts and ASDEFCON familiarity
- Strong procurement experience
- Strong interpersonal skills for engaging senior stakeholders and partners
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities
