Harness Energy is recruiting Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technicians on behalf of our client for an upcoming ongoing project in the Cooper Basin. If you're an experienced E&I professional with a strong safety culture and a commitment to quality, we want to hear from you

About the Role:

As an E&I Technician, you will provide technical expertise and hands-on support during turnaround activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution of electrical and instrumentation scopes. Working closely with E&I Leads, Event Coordinators, and Maintenance Teams, you'll play a key role in delivering a successful turnaround event.

**Turnaround dates: Mid October Start

POINT OF HIRE WILL BE BRISBANE LOCALS PREFERRED.**

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute E&I work scopes per work instructions and permit requirements
  • Perform maintenance, function testing, and EEHA inspections
  • Ensure safety compliance through JSA and permit-to-work processes
  • Review tools and facilities for maintenance readiness
  • Complete work packs and QA documentation
  • Conduct pre-execution walkdowns and dry runs to confirm work scope and isolations
  • Installing, commissioning and maintaining electrical and instrumentation systems including HV / LV cables, switchboards, MCC terminations, motors, lighting and control / instrumentation systems
  • Fault diagnosis

What You Need:

  • QLD Electrical License (Required)
  • Cert III in Instrumentation (Required)
  • EEHA Certification (Required)
  • Current CPR/LVR & First Aid Certification
  • Open Australian Driver's License
  • QGC AEP (Preferred)
  • Experience in electrical/instrumentation maintenance
  • Strong safety culture and ability to work in a high-paced environment

Rates:

  • Electrician Technician: $60 - $68 per hour flat rate
  • Brisbane Point of Hire
  • Mechanic Pipe Fitters: $55 - $63 per hour flat rate

*** International Applications will not be progressed.  Only Australian Qualified Certificate III trade cert will be accepted.
