Senior Recruitment Consultant - Building

Recruitment is a fast-moving and rewarding environment; it requires a mix of influencing, selling and tech-savvy abilities to be successful.

What's special about Consultive? Well firstly Consultive specialise in the built environment. Secondly, we develop people to achieve Great results  We are not here to be average, and this takes a high degree of accountability for the recruiter and us as a business. Thirdly we target candidate for jobs headhunting and talent tracking - and we're known as the best in our market for this.

The role is specialising in the Buildingsector.  You will need to have recruiting skills and experience from within this sector, you'll know the companies in this space, and what our clients look for when recruiting skilled main contractorconstruction personnel.  It goes without saying, you'll have deep knowledge of how the built environment functions.

You know this, though here are the duties of what you'll do:

  • Conduct searches on our database & online
  • Approach candidates with an opportunity, and influence their interest
  • Interview & background check candidates
  • Track talent for future placements
  • Identifying & building relationships with clients (some you may already know)
  • Identify client needs, wants and where the company is going, and then working out how to give that to them
  • In the end, successfully getting great people jobs with great businesses (that's how we earn our fee)

That's a really simple view of the Senior Recruiter role.  I will add that it's all about connecting with people online, on the phone and face to face - communication is key.

The remuneration package is a mix of base salary, super, commission & car allowance and will be consistent with someone with 5+ years of recruitment experience - so you need this to start with.  The salary would be circa $85k + super upwards, + commission. We have a strong history of Good to Great Recruiters earning in excess on $150k in their second year, and Excellent to Exceptional Recruiter's earning $200-300k+ in their 3rd or 4th year.
