About The Company:

Our client is a contemporary women's fashion label with a focus on timeless style, quality craftsmanship, and innovative design. Their brand is renowned for its unique textiles and premium fabrications that bring their collections to life. They are seeking a Senior Textiles Designer to lead the development of original, innovative, and commercially relevant prints and fabric designs that elevate their collections and resonate with their customers.

About the Role:

As the Senior Textiles Designer, you will be at the forefront of their creative process, driving textile and print innovation from concept through to final product. You will collaborate closely with the design team, creative director, and suppliers to ensure fabrics and prints align with brand vision and seasonal stories. This role is both highly creative and technical, requiring strong knowledge of textile processes, print design, and fabric development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead the creation and development of seasonal textile and print concepts in line with brand direction.

* Research global trends, inspirations, and techniques to inform new designs and fabrications.

* Develop repeat patterns, placement prints, artworks, and textile concepts suitable for both digital and traditional production methods.

* Manage and oversee fabric development with mills and suppliers, ensuring quality, sustainability, and innovation standards are met.

* Collaborate with the design and product teams to ensure fabric choices enhance garment design and fit within commercial parameters.

* Present print and fabric stories to the wider design team and stakeholders.

* Ensure deadlines are met for sampling, approvals, and production.

* Mentor and support junior designers or freelancers within the textile department.

Skills & Experience:

* Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Textiles/Print Designer within women's wear.

* Strong creative portfolio showcasing original textile and print design work.

* Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), with experience in textile CADs and repeat layouts.

* Deep understanding of fabrications, print techniques, dye processes, and sustainable textile innovations.

* Strong eye for colour, pattern, and trend forecasting.

* Excellent communication and presentation skills.

* Ability to work collaboratively with a creative team while also leading independently.

* Strong organisational and time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
