Aged Care Facilities South East QLD - Nursing Homes in SE QLD Your home base will be in our Ashmore Care Home Ashmore aged care home | Gold Coast.

The Group Painter is responsible for ensuring the homes present their best in regard to painting. This role involves performing routine paint touch up tasks, paint projects and ensuring to complete works in a secure, safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff.

This role is a full-time permanent role and comes with loads of benefits including a car allowance.

Day to day duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify where touch up painting needs to be complete.
  • Carry out reviews to the facility's infrastructure to program and complete painting through our Aged Care homes.
  • Ensure that the facility complies with all safety regulations and standards, including fire safety, accessibility, and building codes.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, such as power outages, water leaks, or other urgent issues, to minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of residents and staff.
  • Manage and maintain equipment relating to this role to ensure they are properly functioning and safe.
  • Assist in budget planning for maintenance and repairs, and work to manage maintenance-related expenses efficiently.
  • Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and service providers as needed for specialised maintenance and repair tasks.

About You:

  • Hold a resident-centric mindset which flows through to all aspects of your work.
  • Ability to problem solve and 'think on your feet'.
  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to learn and desire to continuously develop as a result from feedback provided by residents and managers.
  • A valid NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willing to apply for one)
  • Trade Certification as a Painter is preferred.
