Queensland Positive People (QPP) are seeking dedicated individuals to join its board and help steer its future direction.

This is a unique chance for experienced professionals and community advocates to provide strategic leadership to an organisation making a real difference to the lives of people living with HIV and connected communities in Queensland.

The Special Representative Role

We are seeking an experienced leader with a strong background in
governance and financial management
. This position is crucial for guiding the organisation's strategic direction, ensuring sound financial stewardship, and maintaining accountability.

  • Who it's for:
    A person living with HIV or a supportive ally residing in Queensland.
  • Ideal Experience:
    Health Service Management, Clinical Governance, Public Health Policy, Health Economics/Finance, or Legal/Risk Management within a health context.

The Ordinary Board Member/Regional Representative Role

This position is for a passionate community advocate who can bring their lived experience to the forefront of our governance. You will help guide the organisation's future, ensuring QPP continues to deliver vital services, advocate for rights, and build an inclusive community.

  • Who it's for:
    A person living with HIV residing in Queensland.
  • Ideal Experience:
    A deep passion for community advocacy, combined with previous leadership or board experience.

Details for Both Positions

Both roles require a
1-2 year commitment
and can be filled on a voluntary basis or with remuneration. Your expertise will directly support QPP's mission to improve the lives of people living with HIV, reduce new transmissions, and advocate for the community.
